Advanced Program Information

A learner is placed in the program on a year-to-year basis providing that he/she meets GCA’s criteria for the program. Each school district maintains its own Advanced criteria. Students transferring to GCA must meet the guidelines set forth by Georgia Cyber Academy. The learner is expected to complete all required assignments, actively participate in class activities, and show exemplary work habits, process skills, academic growth, and progress towards mastery of the standards in each class(es).

There are no Advanced courses for grades K-2. Students that excel will have their needs met through differentiation in the classroom and may be referred for Gifted evaluation.
