Live Oaks Public Libraries is part of our library partnership program. GCA students living in Savannah-Chatham County, Effingham County, or Liberty County may use the resources of the Live Oaks library system.

Student ID = Library Account!

All GCA students living in Cherokee, Gilmer, and Pickens are automatically signed up for a student library account. Parents may OPT-OUT using this survey. The program provides GCA students a library account using their GCA student ID. These students will use GCA+ their Student ID as their ID and the last 4 numbers of the Student ID as a PIN number to access physical and digital materials.

 Example: If a student’s Georgia Cyber Academy ID is 123456, then their EZ Student Access ID will be GCA123456 and their PIN will be 3456.

Please utilize this resource to reset your pin by logging into your account on the Sequoyah Regional Library Website.

 Benefits of the program are:

GCA and Cobb County Public Library have partnered.  This partnership has many benefits for students living in Cobb County. All GCA students living in Cobb County have been issued a Library PASS account using their student ID number.

• Students may check out up to 5 books at a time with their Library PASS account.
• Students will not be charged late fines, but they will be responsible for lost materials.
• This account gives students access to our resources online and in our libraries.
• Our online resources are accessible 24/7 on PC’s and mobile devices with internet access. Students may download eBooks, audiobooks, search our databases, and find lots of other educational resources.
• Tutor ATL! Online, one-on-one tutors (including bilingual Spanish) are available daily until 11 pm during the school year; and academic resources are available 24/7! This is a free resource for students with Cobb County Library PASS accounts.

Georgia Cyber Academy students living in Dekalb County that have a permanent home address and desire to have their own FREE Dekalb County Public Library card are encouraged to complete the Library's process that can be found here. If you do not have the necessary identification, let the library know you are a Georgia Cyber Academy student. They will bypass the documentation needed and will follow up with our school to confirm your residence in Dekalb County.

Families without a permanent address, please complete the following steps to set up a Dekalb County Public Library account. Parents/Students can apply online here. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Apply Now.

• Home Library - Select the Decatur Library for the home library
• Postal Code - Enter 30030 for the Postal Code
• City – Select Decatur for the city
• Complete the Form:
  • Preferred Name - First Name, Middle Name, Last Name
  • Birth Date - Use double digits for month & day, four digits for birth year
• Address Information
  • Street 1 – Type in GA Cyber Academy
  • Leave the other lines blank
• Contact Information

The system will respond with a temporary number (PACREG). This is an important step to write the PACREG number down. It is the only way that the library can retrieve the information to complete the process.

To increase literacy and educational success, we are partnering with Forsyth County Public Library (FCPL) to provide you with the option of allowing your student to access library resources and materials using their school ID number.

Student Library Cards

All GCA students living in Forsyth County are automatically signed up for this student library account. Parents may OPT-OUT of the library account through this survey. Parents and guardians who elect to enroll in this program are responsible for: 

• Returning all materials borrowed with your student's library card;
• Paying late fees and penalties for loss or damage to materials;
• Monitoring the content of books, videos, and other materials accessed by your student both in the Library and in the online eLibrary.

Fulton County

Students living in Fulton County and Atlanta, Dekalb now have access to Fulton County's library!  A library account will be created for you using your GCA Student ID number. The CLASS PASS is Fulton County Library's student library account program. The CLASS PASS allows access to the following:

•  Students may check out 50 items at a time without fear of late fees
• Participate in library events
• Utilize daily computer and internet access at local FCLS branches
• Access to free online tutoring services

About the Program

The West Georgia Regional Library System participates in the read 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Numerous studies estimate that as many as one in five children have difficulties learning to read. Reading has been identified as an early indicator of academic success. Public formal education does not typically start until ages 5-6 years old. Before then, guardians and caregivers are the first education providers during the 0-5 early critical years. The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge is a simple one. To learn more and participate, use this link.
