Spring Community Day 2022

Join us on Community Day, April 13th, for fun in-person and virtual events.  Regular scheduled classes are cancelled so you have the option to attend one (or more) of our Community Day events or you can choose to have fun on your own on Community Day. 

All entrance fees will be covered by GCA Community Partnerships; however, some locations may require a parking fee, which is not covered by GCA.  Please see event details below for locations that require parking fees.

***NO PETS ALLOWED on COMMUNITY DAYS***

Community Day is now closed for registration.  No new families can be added to in person or virtual sites at this time.  Please check your Canvas for information on School Level Sponsored events.  Enjoy Community Day!

In-Person Event Options

  • Temperature checks will be conducted at all sites that have indoor activities.

*As a reminder, appropriate attire is required for any session that may allow for video.  Please also remember to remain on mute so that everyone can enjoy each session.  Some of the rooms may have large attendance so we will have helpers to assist with questions in the chat box.  Be sure to come to the session on time to make sure you hear all instructions upon entering.  All etiquette is listed in the school handbook.  Please note failure to follow the rules of the session would cause for removal of a student for the duration of the online event.

Grade Band Virtual Fun Sessions

All GCA students can access school level virtual fun sessions with their respective grade band teachers by:

  1. Choosing any content course in Canvas
  2. Clicking on "Jigsaw"
  3. Clicking "See All My Sessions"
  4. Choosing the desired Community Day session

Students may choose as many sessions as they would like to attend and may even attend different grade levels to visit some of your past teachers!

Information about our Events and Community Partnerships

The Community Partnership Department’s primary purpose is to focus on the GCA community by helping build partnerships with museums, historic sites, colleges and businesses across the state. Supporting all grades K-12 with programming and opportunities for students to attend educational classes, field trips, and community service options to help with their academics and wellness. Our staff collaborates with all departments to help with student achievement and growth.
