Helpful Platforms & Programs

Google Document with Movable Pieces

Elementary teacher, Michelle Davis offers a step-by-step guide for creating a document for Google Drive or Google Classroom that has fixed and movable pieces. She walks through the initial part of creating the "background" in PowerPoint and saving it as an image then moves to Google Slides and inserts the image as the Background so that the items are not movable. From there text boxes or any content can be added for students to click links, input written responses, click and drag, or fill in the blank.

These Google Docs are great for compare/contrast, constructed response, matching, short answer, or fill in the blank formative assessments.
