Right To Know

At Georgia Cyber Academy, we are very proud of our teachers.  We feel they are ready for the coming school year and are prepared to help your child do their best in school.  As a Title I school, we are required by federal law [the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA), reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in 2015] to let you know about your child’s teachers’ qualifications.

In compliance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act, parents may request the following information:

  1. Whether the student’s teacher—
  • has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;
  • is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; and,
  • is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.

Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

If you wish to request information concerning your child’s teachers’ qualifications, please contact us at 404.334.4790 or by email at emooney@georgiacyber.org.
