P-EBT

CARES Act - Pandemic EPT (P-EBT) Parent Benefit Information

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act includes a benefit called Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) for children who received free or reduced-price school meals in the 2019-2020 school year, but their school was closed.

PLEASE NOTE: Your child is only eligible for the P-EBT benefit if they received free or reduced-price lunch, through the National School Lunch Program, in a Georgia public school during the 2019-20 school year. Your child must have been actively enrolled as of March 1, 2020.

Information on Eligibility
Because Georgia Cyber Academy does not provide meals to students through the free or reduced-price meal program, students who attended Georgia Cyber Academy during the 2019-20 school year are NOT eligible for the P-EBT program.

Families are only eligible to receive the P-EBT benefit if they have a child who attended a school other than Georgia Cyber Academy for the 2019-20 school year and meets both criteria below:

  1. Child was reported as receiving free or reduced-price meals during the 2019-20 school year.
  2. Child was actively enrolled in as of March 1, 2020.

The application deadline is September 25, 2020.

Please ensure you enter your child’s GTID and birthdate correctly on the form. If their birthdate is entered correctly and you have entered the GTID exactly as you received it from the school district, and you receive a message stating that the information you submitted does not match DOE records, your child is not eligible for P-EBT.
