During the Champion Tour, we discussed Family Engagement Month. We also shared fundraising from-home opportunities, and how to work with educators to improve student achievement. After the meeting, a translatable recording of the previous Champion Tour Breakout Session (Primary, Elementary, Middle, and Secondary) on how to help your student with Reading and ELA was provided.

Do you need help with a class? Well, your GCA National Honor Society (NHS) will host Secondary Grades tutoring sessions from 4-5 on the dates listed below. We tutor in ALL subjects!!
NHS is partnering with the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) to provide tutoring in elective courses. If we do not have a tutor online for your particular elective, we recommend NetTutor our free online tutoring for all GCA students.
You must register for tutoring to attend. Ensure your GCA email address is spelled correctly on the registration form. You will need to accept the Canvas course invitation to the 2024-2025 Secondary Grades Tutoring Canvas Course to access the tutoring sessions.
Students must follow all Code of Conduct Guidelines listed in the GCA Handbook

During the Champion Tour, we shared how to engage and motivate your student, a Learning Coach and Student guest speaker provided tips and best practices on motivating and keeping your student engaged. On the last stop of the tour, we transitioned into grade bands (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) break-out rooms where educators reviewed assessments used at GCA.
