The Georgia Cyber Academy Family Directory is a voluntary, secure resource designed to help families connect beyond the virtual classroom. Created in response to family requests for more opportunities to build community, the directory allows parents and guardians to find and connect with other GCA families across grade levels and regional locations.

Participation in the Family Directory is completely optional and limited to verified GCA families. Only basic contact information is displayed, and access is password protected, allowing families to engage, share information, and build meaningful connections within the GCA school community in a safe and controlled environment.

What Is the Family Directory?

The GCA Family Directory is an online directory available to parents and guardians who choose to opt in. Once enrolled, families can:

Search for other parents by name
View families by student grade band
Connect with families in the same geographic region
Access links to regional GCA Facebook groups
Share a short family biography (optional)
Upload a profile photo (optional)

Only families who opt in and are approved will have access to the directory.

How to Join the Family Directory

Step 1: Opt In

Parents who wish to participate must complete the Family Directory Opt-In Form below.

To opt in, you will need to provide:

First name
Last name
Email address

Important: This information must match what is currently on file in Infinite Campus.

Step 2: Confirmation Email

After submitting the opt-in form, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know your request has been received. This email also includes:

An overview of the Family Directory
Instructions for opting out if you change your mind

Step 3: Account Activation (After Approval)

Once your opt-in request is approved, you will receive an Account Activation Email with instructions to:

Activate your login
Create a secure password for the Parent Portal

After creating your password, you will log in to access the directory.

Step 4: Access the Directory

Approximately one hour after completing the opt-in form, you will receive an email with a direct link to the GCA Family Directory.

The link will take you to the directory associated with your student’s grade band:

Primary Grade Band (PGB)
Elementary Grade Band (EGB)
Middle Grade Band (MGB)
Secondary Grade Band (SGB)

Completing and submitting this form gives Georgia Cyber Academy permission to include your name, phone number, and email address in the GCA Family Directory. Please note that this directory contains public contact information intended to help GCA families connect with one another. Only the preferred phone number and email address listed in your Learning Coach profile in Infinite Campus will be displayed.

After you submit this form, we will verify that you are a current GCA parent. If you need to update your contact information, please contact your Family Engagement Liaison (FEL).

For added security, the Family Directory is password protected and accessible only to verified GCA families. Once your information is verified, you will receive a password to log in and access the directory.

Using the Family Directory

Search for Families

Parents can search the directory by:

Parent first and/or last name
Student grade level
Geographic region
Parent-created family biography information

You can also view a full list of families within your grade band.

View Families by Region

The directory allows you to:

View families living in the same region
Access direct links to GCA regional Facebook groups to support local connections

View Contact Information

Clicking on a parent’s name will open a pop-up window displaying:

Contact information they have chosen to share
Their family biography, if entered

Managing Your Profile

Update Your Biography

Parents can personalize their directory profile by adding a short biography. This can include:

Information about your student(s)
Family interests or activities
Hobbies or community involvement

Biography content is searchable by other families who have access to the directory.

Keyword Search in Biographies

Parents can search biographies using keywords. For example:

Searching for shared interests (e.g., “bike,” “sports,” “art”)
Searching for a student’s name if it has been included in a biography

Note: Keyword search applies to biographies only. Parent name searches use the First and Last Name fields.

Upload a Profile Picture (Optional)

Parents may choose to upload a profile photo by:

Selecting the Picture tab in the profile menu
Choosing a photo file
Saving the picture settings

Uploading a photo is optional.

Opt-Out

If you no longer want to be part of the Family Directory, please submit Student and Family Help Center Ticket and include:

Your name as it is displayed in the Family Directory
Your email address as it is displayed in the Family Directory

What is the Student & Family Help Center?

The GCA Student & Family Help Center is a support portal for student technology, accounts, and software. If you are experiencing issues with school technology, student accounts, or school software please visit the Help Center.

Do I need an account?

While an account is preferred, all resources are available without one. Submitting a request without being signed in may cause a small delay in the response time but will still be successful.

Infinite Campus

What is Infinite Campus?

Infinite Campus is a Student Information System used for final grade reporting, transcripts and Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) data. Parents can access the Infinite Campus parent portal by following the directions to create an account. Contact your student’s Family Engagement Liaison should you need assistance.
