6-8 Assessments
Assessments are a necessary tool by which we can identify students’ strengths and weaknesses in order to better individualize their educational plan and supports and they are used to inform classroom instruction. These tools also assist us in determining a student’s level of academic mastery and may play a significant role in grade level placement decisions.
Interim Assessments
IAs help determine student mastery of the Georgia standards of excellence and drive instruction throughout the school year. Students are required to take the Interim Assessments monitored on camera regardless of their proficiency level.
Students in grades 6-8 take Interim Assessments (IAs).
More information about IAs can be found in the District Parent/Student Handbook.
NWEA MAP
NWEA MAP tests are administered 3 times per school year for grades 6-8. MAP assessments are taken online at specified times and are monitored on camera. These assessments are mandatory.
To learn more about Assessments, please review the District Parent/Student Handbook.
Other assessments may be required based on your student's grade level and instructional level. Please contact your student's teacher if you have questions about assessments.
