Step 2: Confirm Your Selection

Yes!  Lottery registrations will be accepted after the Lottery is held.  Lottery registrations will be accepted for the duration of the Open Enrollment period; however, you may be placed on a waitlist.   Seat offers are determined based on available seats which varies by grade level.

The following students are eligible to enroll at any time during the school year:

• students who are experiencing homelessness 
• migrant students
• students who are currently in foster care
• students of GCA staff, faculty, or board members

(All students that are eligible may require further review for approval for enrollment)

If your student meets any of the above criteria, please call 470.400.7887  between 9am and 4pm on regular school days.

After registering with Lotterease, if selected you will complete the following steps to enroll:

1. If you are selected to enroll, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your selection.
2. After confirming your selection, you will receive an email with a link to register for access to the online enrollment application.
3. Complete and submit the online enrollment application**.

**The Online Enrollment Application must be completed and submitted by September 11, 2024 at 4:00 pm. Applications not submitted by the deadline will be denied.

If you are placed on a waitlist, you will be updated about your waitlist position periodically by email.  You can log in to your Lotterease account and check your waitlist status at any time.  Please note: your waitlist position may fluctuate up and/or down, as transitional students* and siblings of currently enrolled students have enrollment preference. 

If you are selected to enroll, you will receive an email.

*Georgia Cyber Academy participates in the education of temporarily displaced - transitional children. A transitional student is any student who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence.  If you are currently experiencing displacement from a home and are in need of assistance, please contact our Transitional Student Liaisons at transitionalstudent@georgiacyber.org.

If your student is the sibling of a currently enrolled student, please contact our Enrollment Team at enrollment@georgiacyber.org.

More information about the Lottery

In a household, if one child is selected to enroll, then all children in the household who were entered into the lottery will be eligible to enroll. 

After responding to the initial email to confirm your child's selection, you can expect to receive selection emails for children in the household who were entered into the lottery and did not previously receive a selection.  If you do not receive confirmation, please contact our Enrollment Team at enrollment@georgiacyber.org.

If your student is the sibling of a currently enrolled student, please contact our Enrollment Team at enrollment@georgiacyber.org.

Confirmation emails will be sent to the email address you provided when you registered with Lotterease.  Check your inbox and spam folder for a message from: Georgia_Cyber_Academy@lotterease.com.

Registering for the Lottery:

You will need to provide your name, address, contact information (including your email address) as well as your student's name, birthdate, and the grade level they will be entering for the upcoming school year.
