Georgia Cyber Academy Students Outperform on SAT Scores at Both State and National Levels

Atlanta, Georgia, September 25, 2024 - For the seventh year in a row, Georgia public-school students surpassed the national average SAT scores. Specifically, Georgia public-school students recorded a mean score of 1030, 35 points higher than the national average for public-school students of 995.  Students at the statewide online public school, Georgia Cyber Academy (GCA), outperformed state and national averages for all three categories.

SAT Total Score Mean:

  • National - 995
  • State - 1030
  • GCA - 1090

SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing Mean:

  • National - 507
  • State - 527
  • GCA - 567

SAT Math Mean:

  • National - 488
  • State - 503
  • GCA - 523

“We are incredibly proud of our high achieving high school scholars and are extremely proud of the fact that they have once again outperformed their peers at the state and national levels on the SAT,” said Mike Kooi, GCA Superintendent, “We look forward to these students continuing to make us proud as they graduate and move on to college and careers armed with the educational foundation that GCA has provided them.”

Georgia Cyber Academy students’ increased scores in all three categories compared to 2023 when they outperformed the state and national scores in both Total Score and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing Means and outperformed the national score in Math Mean.
