Mandate: Consistent with section 2001(i)(2) of the ARP Act, the LEA will seek public
comment on the development of its plan, the LEA will seek public input and take such input into account in determining whether to revise its plan and, if it determines revisions are necessary, on the revisions it makes to its plan.
In compliance, Georgia Cyber Academy is seeking public feedback as it reviews its plan for funds received through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) to address statewide learning loss and other school needs. The district will take this feedback into account for ongoing use of ARP funds.
GCA's ARP Plan:
Currently, GCA’s is using ARP funds for academic coaching and supports for teachers, additional teachers in middle grade SPED departments and in 2nd grade, paraprofessionals, additional training and certifications for teachers in areas of need, teacher retention efforts, internal Speech Language Pathologists, a Hospital Homebound coordinator, MKV supplies/clothing/hygiene, nursing assistance at face to face events, access to therapy for students needing social/emotional support, supplies and cleaning to prevent the spread of COVID.
