Matthew Mitchell, Georgia Cyber Academy Class of 2022 Valedictorian
Matthew has attended GCA since Kindergarten. As he entered high school, he knew he wanted to play tennis in college, so he began taking courses at Georgia Virtual School, as well as Dual Enrollment courses. Through these opportunities, he was able to earn all of his high school credits needed for NCAA eligibility, as well as earn an Associates degree in General Studies from Georgia Military College.
The Dual Enrollment opportunity also gave Matthew the flexibility to have a job. He began working at Chick-Fil-A when he was 15. He was quickly promoted to trainer, and then to team leader. When he turned 18, Matthew was promoted to OJR, which is a managerial position that allows him to develop his leadership skills while still in high school.
In addition to Matthew’s love of tennis and his work at CFA, he also enjoys playing the piano. He’s been playing since about the 3rd grade. He also plays for his church each weekend.
The Georgia Cyber Academy Valedictorian is the Summa Cum Laude graduate who has the highest GPA.
Congratulations Matthew!
