We are excited to offer a virtual spelling bee program at Georgia Cyber Academy. Our students’ dedication to mastering correct spelling and expanding their vocabulary benefits them not only in this competition but throughout their lives. Participation helps students build confidence, gain public speaking experience, demonstrate poise under pressure, and set meaningful goals, skills that will support their success in future endeavors.
Winners will advance to the Georgia Association of Educators Regional Spelling Bee, which will be held on February 28, 2026, at the Beacon Hill Middle School Cafetorium in Decatur, Georgia. Alternates will advance if a winner is unable to attend the GAE Spelling Bee.
GCA Middle Grades Champion Spelling Bee Winner and Alternate:

1st Place The Middle Grade Band first-place winner is student: Ayomide O. Ayomide’s academic interests include Mathematics and Social Studies. Her activities include crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing the ukulele. She is enrolled in both the Gifted and Advanced programs. The winner of the GAE Regional Spelling Bee will then move on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

2nd Place The Middle Grade Band second-place winner is student: Kyli S. Kyli enjoys painting, sketching, studying, spending time with friends, swimming, and playing video games with her mom. She has earned multiple awards for her academic achievements. Kyli will serve as an alternate should Ayomide be unable to participate in the GAE Regional Spelling Bee.
