Testing Sites & Transportation

Transportation Policies for In-Person Testing

For required in-person testing, GCA works hard to assign students to locations that are a reasonable distance from the home address on file for them.

GCA does NOT provide or arrange transportation for students to and from testing. Transportation is the responsibility of students’ parents or guardians.

Students who are 16 years of age or older and who possess government-issued photo identification may transport themselves to and from testing. All other students will need to be signed in and out by a designated adult.

Absences during required testing due to transportation issues will NOT be considered excused absences.

GCA staff members are not authorized to transport students (with the exception of their own children if enrolled at GCA).

Students or parents with transportation issues or concerns regarding in-person testing should contact their FSL and/or Site Coordinator as soon as possible.

Displaced students qualifying under the federal definition of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act may be eligible for transportation assistance through third-party services. Please contact our school Transitional Student Liaisons for more information:
